Character of the day: Destro, the lord of weapons.

James McCullen is a powerful arms dealer. As CEO of an arms factory, he has profited from selling weapons to both NATO and the Cobra group, amassing a fortune. He has a relationship with the Baroness, but is jealous of her past with Duke.

After a confrontation with Duke, McCullen attempts to use a flamethrower, but the plan fails when Duke fires the Baroness's wrist weapon, disfiguring his face. Cobra Commander helps him, healing his wounds with new technology, and McCullen gains a silver metallic face. He renames himself Destro, after an ancestor who was also burned and forced to wear an iron mask. His name, "Destro", means "destroyer of worlds". Now, he is Cobra Commander's right-hand man, and together they are the nightmare of G.I. Joe.
